Murdered Triumph shopkeeper died of multiple injuries, suffocation

Dhroowah Ramnauth, the elderly shopkeeper who was found murdered in his Triumph, East Coast Demerara home last Friday following a suspected robbery, died as a result of multiple injuries and suffocation.

This is according to an autopsy which was performed yesterday morning, a police source confirmed to Stabroek News.

The source added that as the investigation of Ramnauth’s murder continues, the two men who were held for questioning on Friday evening remain in custody.
