Trio remanded over Christmas Day Black Bush assault, robbery

Three men were remanded to prison yesterday after being charged with robbing a Zambia, Mibicuri South, Black Bush Polder (BBP) businessman on Christmas Day.

Floyd La Rose, 35, a labourer of Lot 38 Mibicuri South, BBP; Martin Kite, 46, a drainage and irrigation worker of Lot 140 Johanna North, BBP; and Dinesh Ramphal, 19, a labourer of Johanna North, BBP, appeared at the Number 51 Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Charlyn Artiga.

It is alleged that on 25th December 2018 at Mibicuri, BBP, while armed with guns, the trio robbed Claudette Duncan of cash, jewellery and items all valued $850,400. The men were not required to plead to the joint charge.
