(Trinidad Express) A soldier has been charged with the murder of his daughter, toddler Soriya Martin.

Kerros Martin, 29, a corporal of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, is expected to appear in court before a magistrate in the Sangre Grant Magistrates’ Court.

Martin was charged by Insp Lutchman following instructions from Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard. Little Soriya was shot dead on December 12 during an altercation at her home in Sangre Grande.
