President David Granger yesterday, journeyed to Belladrum, West Coast Berbice to join the relatives and friends of Sydney Grenville, one of Guyana’s newest nonagenarians, in the celebration of this milestone.
A release from the Ministry of the Presidency said that Grenville, a well-known resident of the village, marked this significant birth anniversary last Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
President Granger, in his remarks, said that he is pleased that he could make the trip. He noted that he has known Grenville for most of his life and is thankful for the contributions he has made and service to the country during his years.
