Seventeen-year-old Miguel Wong, who is currently participating at the Youth Olympics lost his lone match on day one of the qualifiers in Paraguay.
Wong, who drew a bye in the first round, lost to Khaled Khader of Jordan 1-4 in their round of 16 battle.
Khader took the first two sets 7-11, 9-11 while Wong took the third 11-9 before eventually surrendering the final set 5-11.
