Group plans activities for Black History Month

A number of activities to mark Black History Month is being organised by the Theocracy Region Ivine House of Nyahbinghi. The activities got underway yesterday at Bare Root Bachelors Adventure, East Demerara and will continue today and tomorrow.

According to a release from the organizers over the three days black history will be presented in the form of lectures, documentaries and production of a five-year plan for the development of the Rastafari community in Guyana. It was stated that discussions will be encouraged to help chart the course for the development of the Rastafarian youths and the development of a Rastafari Agriculture and Manufacturing Development community.

Also up for discussion is the acquisition of land for agricultural purpose while the Rastafarians will be drumming, chanting and dancing from the evening through the nights.
