Burnham Memorial three-stage race concludes this weekend

A worthy winner will be crowned tomorrow when the second and third legs of the Burnham Memorial Three-Stage Road Race take centre stage.

This year’s series will continue in the Mining Town from Linden to Georgetown. The gruelling second stage which rolls off at 07:00hrs, will cover 65 miles.

Seven hours later, the third and final stage (30 miles) commences at Georgetown, proceeds to Belfield on the East Coast of Demerara and back to the point of origin.

Berbician, Romello Crawford drew first blood, winning the first leg in front of his hometown fans that lined the streets.
