Lamaha Gardens sign

Residents of the Lamaha Gardens Community Co-operative Society, yesterday unveiled a welcome sign at the community’s entrance, located at the corner of Duncan Street and Bel Air Avenue. At the ceremony, the sign, which was donated by General Equipment and Supplies, was unveiled by Mayor Ubraj Narine (centre), Deputy Mayor Alfred Mentore (left) and head of the community group, Ronald Alli (right). The erection of the sign, the community said in a statement, signals their commitment to work with the Mayor and City Council. Alli yesterday stated that the sign’s placement illustrates a step in “addressing negative influences which impact residential communities, including our community, Lamaha Gardens.”
