Minister of Social Cohesion Dr. George Norton with the newly-appointed United States Ambassador to Guyana Sarah-Ann Lynch on Friday after a courtesy call by the new ambassador. Following their meeting, Norton stated that they spoke about the development of the arts in Guyana and the possibility of collaborating to have workshops hosted by artists from the United States with an emphasis on the marketing of art. Norton added that the ambassador express-ed her desire to work with the ministry and he noted that they may be looking to create policies to help artists to be better able to profit from their work.
