Raid uncovers weapons, other contraband in NA Prison: Ranks of the Joint Services on Friday carried out a raid at the New Amsterdam Prison, in Berbice, where a number of contraband items were found. Among the items in photo which were found during the raid are: three cellphones, a knife, five improvised weapons, 11 phone chargers, a quantity of wires, two nail clippers, a pair of scissors, 25 cigarette lighters, two memory cards, an adapter, 13 nails, 27 razor blades and one gramme of cannabis.
