Police’s ‘Lady G’ in maiden voyage

On Friday, the Guyana Police Force ‘D’ Division launched a new boat which is powered by an 85 horsepower (hp) Yamaha engine.

A release yesterday from the police said that the vessel, ‘Lady G’ made its first trip to the Bonasika Outpost with the Officer-in-Charge of the No.1 Sub-Division Assistant Superintendent Alwin Hoyte along with Woman Sergeant 17693 Allison Daniels who is the Subordinate Officer in-Charge of the Parika Police Station and other ranks, on the said day of its launch.

The 22-foot fibre glass vessel which was captained by Police Coxswain Corporal 19614 Doodnauth Bridgemohan, will be used to patrol the expansive riverine areas of the Division.
