Oil and gas loan from World Bank

Minister of Finance, Winston Jordan yesterday signed a US$20m loan with the World Bank in Washington DC for the oil and gas sector. The Government of Guyana had announced the loan on April 2nd. Tahseen Khan, Country Director for the Caribbean signed on behalf of the bank. A release from the Ministry of Finance said that the loan will build human resource capacity and bolster institutional frameworks in the sector.
