Everest, Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) and the Gandhi Youth Organization (GYO) all recorded first round victories yesterday in the first round of the Georgetown Cricket Association/AYPCL Under-19 50-overs tournament.
At the Everest Cricket Club ground, Everest defeated GYCEA by 68 runs after posting 211 in 37.4 overs and bowling out the visitors for 143 in 34 overs.
Everest were led by Ushardeva Balgobin who clobbered a dozen fours and four sixes in his knock of 87.
Balgobin shared in a 92-run partnership for the third wicket with Ariel Tilku who made 37.
Raynaldo Mohammed chipped in with 21 as left-arm seamer, P. Jadunauth, claimed 5-29.
