Maverick De Abreu, who is charged with assaulting Trinidadian Soca singer, Rodney ‘Benjai’ LeBlanc, was on Friday told that he would have to lead his defence.
De Abreu is currently on trial before Magistrate Faith McGusty and is being represented by attorney Mark Waldron, while the case is being prosecuted by Keith Scotland and Eusi Anderson.
Magistrate McGusty on Friday overruled the no-case submission previously made by attorney Waldron on behalf of his client and upheld submissions made by the prosecutors.
