Labourer gets one-year for stealing gas cylinder

A 59-year-old man was yesterday sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to stealing a gas cylinder.

Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus imposed the sentence on Aubrey Price, who appeared before her in Georgetown on three break and enter and larceny charges.

Price admitted that on March 15th, at Princes Street, Lodge, he broke into the home of Marsha Baird and stole a $6,000 gas cylinder. He told the court that he saw the door to the lower flat of the house, which no one resides in, open and he noticed the gas cylinder and took it.
