Accused in Albouystown teen’s murder deemed fit to stand trial

Shamar Harvey

Shamar Harvey, 21, who is charged with the murder of Albouystown teen Christopher Mansfield, yesterday learned that he had been found fit to stand trial.

This was reported by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan weeks after Harvey’s attorney inform-ed the court that the accused has been a psychiatric patient since 2016.

Police prosecutor Neville Jeffers told the court that a report was brought to the court. The Chief Magistrate, after examining the report, stated that based on what was written, Harvey was fit to stand trial and was also to continue treatment.
