The saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child,” and that is what the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) exemplified when they decided to support West Indies U15 players Isia Thorne and Rampertab Ramnauth.
The two young men, along with Demerara’s Mavindra Dindyal, are in the regional U15 side which will tour England in August.
The RDC provided each of the young men with a bat following their selection.
During the Regional U15 tournament, Ramnuath finished with the second highest aggregate of the tournament behind tournament Most Valuable Player, Dindyal while Thorne is a promising fast bowler and capable batman.
