Enmore fisherman seriously hurt in attack near home

An Enmore, East Coast Demerara fisherman is currently confined to bed due to injuries he suffered last Thursday when he was attacked and robbed some 200 feet from his home.

Injured is Somdatt Singh called “Ravi”, a father of two of Lot 904 Enmore Hope West, ECD.

The attack, which around 9pm last Thursday has left Singh nursing a broken neck and damaged spinal cord.

He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he was admitted before being discharged on Monday afternoon

“He can’t move. He deh home and we gah mind he like baby….they cast he down,” the injured man wife, Amiena Singh told Stabroek News yesterday.
