The government has recognised 51 of its public servants- representing various ministries, departments and agencies- for their years of service and dedicated efforts to the government and country.

According to a Department of Public Information (DPI) release, an awards ceremony was held at the Baridi Benab at State House, on Monday morning in honour of their dedication and service. The list of awardees contained some stalwarts who have been serving for almost five decades.

Minister of Public Service, Tabitha Sarabo-Halley expressed appreciation for the commitment shown by these public servants over the years and particularly acknowledged the employees who had reached the age of retirement but continued to dedicate their time and efforts to the nation. She appealed to them to use their knowledge as a teachable tool to guide the younger public servants.
