Berbice schools book maiden appearance in NSBF semis

Action in the NSBF quarterfinal section at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue

New Amsterdam Technical Institute [NATI] and Berbice High secured their maiden appearance in the National School Basketball Festival [NSBF] U18 semi-final round following quarterfinal wins on Monday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

It is the first time in the event’s history that two schools from the Berbice region have  progressed to the semi-final stage.

NATI crushed Linden unit Mackenzie High 51-33. Kadeem Dover tallied a game-high 20 points. He was supported by Gevon Schultz who added 15 points, nine rebounds and Jermain King who scored 12 points.
