Left-arm spinner Kaysia Schultz is overjoyed as she moves one step closer to making her international debut after being selected for an upcoming West Indies training camp.

Schultz is the only new face from Guyana and will join her fellow natives, Sheneta Grimmond, Shabika Gajnabi and Shemaine Campbelle in Antigua from July 15 to August 10.

“It is very amazing,” the 22-year-old said, pointing out that she “feels blessed for this opportunity.”

The Craig, East Bank Demerara resident has been a consistent member of the Guyana side beginning from her stint at the under-19 level and has been constantly dedicating her time towards training, even quitting her job to focus on her cricket career.
