Just two months after a special lance corporal was alleged to have been fatally beaten by a colleague, the file in relation to the matter has been forwarded to the Police Complaints Authority (PCA).
Special Lance Corporal, Carlos Alleyne succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) after he was allegedly beaten by one of his colleagues while stationed at the Special Constabulary Headquarters on Princes Street.
It was disclosed that the file in relation to the matter was forwarded to the Police Complaints Authority for further investigation. Acting Crime Chief Senior Superintendent Michael Kingston confirmed that the file was forwarded and that the PCA will be conducting their investigation into the matter. Kingston said that anytime officers are involved in such matters the PCA has to investigate.
