Inquiry into charge against men accused of attempted murder plot slated to start on July 24th

A date was yesterday set for the commencement of the Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the attempted murder charge against two men, including the operator of Rockies Hotel in Georgetown, accused of plotting to kill a Lethem businessman.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan yesterday heard an update on the attempted murder charge against Mark Grimmond, of 320 Grove Housing Scheme , EBD, and Chatterpaul Singh, also known as Kevin Singh, of Lot 1 First Street, Cummings Lodge.

It is alleged that the men, between April 1st, 2018 and June 7th, 2019, in Georgetown, conspired with each other and persons unknown to murder Dwayne Grant.
