Gold band thief jailed for two years

Jason Thomas

A young man, who claimed that threats by the mother of his children to take him to court for child support led to him stealing a gold band, was yesterday jailed for two years for the crime.

Jason Thomas, who had appealed to two magistrates, Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus and Magistrate Dylon Bess, earlier this month for his release, was instead sentenced to two years in jail by Magistrate Bess. The magistrate had been awaiting the probation report for the man.
