‘We are in the business of making legends’

President of the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) Roger Harper delivered a rousing charge to five of the club’s juniors who were selected to represent Guyana at the 2019 Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional Under-19 Championship in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Harper delivered the remarks during a simple sending-off ceremony at the club’s pavilion on Wednesday evening.

Included in the squad are DCC members Ashmead Nedd – skipper of the side – Sachin Singh, Alphius Bookie, Daniel Mootoo and Qumar Torrington. They were reminded of the club’s rich history and were urged to use the opportunity to keep the DCC tradition alive.
