The driver of the pick-up that was involved in the accident that claimed the life of minibus driver Oswald Roberts along the New Hope, East Bank Demerara (EBD) public road last Friday, has been discharged from the hospital and is presently in police custody.
This is according to a police source, who told Stabroek News that the police are still in the process of obtaining statements as the investigation continues.
Once the investigation is completed, a case file will be dispatched for legal advice, which will determine the way forward in the matter, the source said.
