Guyana scampered to a one-run win over Trinidad and Tobago in the final round of the Cricket West Indies Regional Under-19 tournament at Arnos Vale yesterday but were unable to lift the title for a sixth time in succession.

Guyana finished third with 14.6 points while Barbados lifted the championship in an undefeated run that earned them 21.5 points. Windward Islands, who were also unbeaten, were second with 16.8 points.

They were unlucky to have three no result matches.

Trinidad ended with nine points to take the fourth spot while winless Jamaica and the Leeward Islands finished were fifth and sixth respectively.
