Trial begins for duo accused of murdering girls, father in Robb St arson

The trial of Ganga Kishna and Avishkar Bissoon, who are accused of killing a man and his two young daughters after setting their Robb and King streets home on fire back in 2014, will officially commence this morning before Justice Brassington Reynolds at the Georgetown High Court.

Kishna and Bissoon are charged with three separate counts of murder in the deaths of Clarissa Rozario, Theresa Rozario, and the girls’ father, Hilrod Thomas. At the time, Clarissa was 14 years old, Theresa 12, and their father 63.

Particulars of the charges state that on November 17th, 2014, the two men murdered the Rozario sisters in the course or furtherance of arson in relation to a dwelling house. Their father, who was in the house at the time and sustained injuries, later succumbed on December 21st while receiving treatment in a hospital.
