Omesh Lakeram, the teenager who was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPC) after being stabbed in the chest by a bandit, has been discharged and is currently at home recovering.
Lakeram, 18, a construction worker, was following two of his neighbours home on August 15th when they were attacked by a lone bandit on a bicycle at La Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara. Lakeram tried to fend off the bandit and was stabbed in his chest.
