A 20-year-old father of two was last Friday sentenced to six months in jail after he pleaded guilty to wounding a man.
Noel Seeratan, of East Ruimveldt, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where he pleaded guilty to unlawfully wounding Devon Alphonso on July 8th at the East Ruimveldt Squatting Area.
Seeratan reportedly assaulted Alphonso’s brother, prompting Alphonso’s intervention. Seeratan had a knife, which he used to “chop” Alphonso several times along the left side of his body.
