A 37-year-old man was arrested on Monday evening following the discovery of a 12-gauge single-barrel shotgun in a wooden boat at Mahaicony.
Police spokesman (ag) Shivpersaud Bacchus in a press statement yesterday said that the discovery was made in Washclothes, Mahaicony, by ranks of a police anti-crime unit who were on patrol duty.
The suspect is in police custody assisting with investigation.
