Eagles FC overcame Den Amstel by a 4-3 score yesterday when the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) leg of the NAMILCO U17 championships resumed at the National Track and Field Center, Leonora.
A pair of penalty kicks highlighted the opening half of the 70 minute contest, with Romel Medas handing Eagles the lead in the 20th minute from the spot after Tolbert Baptiste was fouled inside the area.
Their lead did not last long as Jamal Robinson equalized from the penalty mark in the 25th, blasting his effort clinically past the opposing custodian.
