Pooran backs youngsters to help GAW lift maiden title

Explosive wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran has thrown his support behind the ‘youthful’ Guyana Amazon Warriors to lift the 2019 HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The 23-year-old, arrived in Guyana on Sunday evening to join the squad as they prepare for their first three matches at home on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the Providence Stadium. He has only one thing in mind, winning the title.

Speaking to the media at the official launch of the team at the Marriott Hotel, Kingston yesterday, Pooran said, “It’s different from the rest of the teams. We are a young bunch of guys, a lot of new talent and fans are really excited, I know they give us some headache sometimes but we are young and we are going to make mistakes as well but we are going to have really good gives.”
