Softball Cricket Canada wins Toronto Cup Open title

Softball Cricket Canada (SCC), on Sunday last emerged the Open category winners of the third edition of the Toronto Cup, organised by the Ontario Masters Softball Cricket Clubs (OMSCC). 

The match was played at the University of Toronto ground where SCC defeated their Canadian counterparts Ontario Softball Cricket League (OSCL) at the end of their 15 overs fixture. 

OSCL batted first and posted 113-5 from their allotted 15 overs with Trevon Garraway carving out an unbeaten 42 to spearhead his side’s batting effort after they were reeling at 14-3 in the third over. Garraway shared  a fourth-wicket partnership of 66 with Krishna Deosaran (12) with extras, including an incredible 36 wides, also making a healthy contribution as Sunil “Skadachie” Ramkissoon, ended as the pick of the bowlers with figures of four for 13 from his three overs while Bolanauth “Bunty” Sukhu took one for 19.
