Man jailed for breaking neighbour’s nose, glasses

Leon Murray, who was given time to find a total of $60,000 in compensation for assaulting a neighbour and damaging his glasses, was jailed yesterday after he reported that he was unable to get the money.

Murray was sentenced to 18 months in prison by Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty in Georgetown.

Murray on Monday had admitted to the charge that on September 5th he had inflicted grievous bodily harm upon Shawn Solomon and also damaged the man’s spectacles.
