Youth gets three years for seawall robbery

A youth was yesterday sentenced to three years in jail after being found guilty of robbing a couple at the Kingston seawall.

Seon Ray, who was on trial before Magistrate Rondell Weaver, was found guilty of two counts of robbery

The first charge stated that on June 15th, at Kingston, George-town, in the company of another, Ray robbed Tyrell Chu of two phones, valued $10,000, a $5,000 haversack, and a $2,000 portion of perfume. The second charge stated that Ray robbed Isham Singh of a $2,500 haversack, a silver chain valued $10,000, a $35,000 phone and a $5,000 silver ring, along with other items totalling $56,000.
