A dominating race from We Stand United’s Briton John saw him storming to victory yesterday in the inaugural featured 35-lap school boys and invitational Triskit Biscuit Midwest cookies tea biscuit race.

The Banks DIH-sponsored race, organized by Hassan Mohamed in the inner circuit of the National Park culminated with John stopping the clock at a time of one hour, 19 minutes and eight seconds in a solo victory. John had established an early jump, leading the pack by almost 500 meters as soon as the fourth lap but was pulled back by Team Evolution’s Christopher Griffith and team mate, Deeraj Garbaran who maintained that lead throughout the race.

In the final two laps, John opted to press on for a solo victory, leaving Griffith and Garbaran in the dust to settle for second and third respectively almost 300 meters behind. Garbaran secured five primes while John collected three.
