Authorities mum on cause for suspension of airport boarding bridges

Days after announcing that the use of the Passenger Boarding Bridges at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), Timehri has been temporarily suspended, no clear explanation has been offered as to why this is so.

The notice of the suspension of the use of the air bridges was made by the Ministry of Public Infrastructure (MoPI) last week.

Stabroek News yesterday reached out to the Ministry through its Public Relations Officer Krest Cummings for clarification and an update but she was unable to provide any information. At the time, she said, she was out of the office and this newspaper would have to reach out to her at a later date for answers to the questions.
