A taxi driver was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with the illegal possession of a gun that was found in his vehicle.
Leon Anthony Welcome appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in a Georgetown court, where the charge was read to him.
It is alleged that the accused on September 17th, at Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, had a .357 Taurus Magnum revolver in his possession when he was not the holder of a firearm licence.
