New Region One ambulance

A modern ambulance, equipped with all amenities, was handed over to residents of Port Kaituma and surrounding communities in Region One yesterday. President David Granger, who is facing calls to announce a date for overdue elections, handed over the ambulance to the Port Kaituma Community Hospital during a ‘Government comes to you’ outreach that was held at the Fitzburg Community Ground. According to the Department of Public Information (DPI), he also handed over a cheque to the community of Sebai to procure a boat and engine for their health centre. The DPI noted that the ambulance, which was donated by International Imports and Supply Limited as part of their corporate social responsibility, will allow for quicker response to medical and trauma-related emergencies.
