Phone technician had ganja in haversack at bar -court told

A phone technician accused of having marijuana at a bar for trafficking, was granted bail after he denied the charge when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Mark Smith, 31, pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking which was read to him by Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty. It is alleged that on September 20th at Kumar’s Bar in Waterloo Street, Georgetown, Smith had in his possession, 34 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
