Chinese businesswoman reported to be recovering well after store attack

Lie Yang’s store was closed yesterday following the robbery on Friday

Lie Yang, the Chinese national who was wounded during a robbery at her America Street, George-town business on Friday, is said to be recovering well in hospital. Lie remained a patient yesterday at the George-town Public Hospital, where she was admitted after being cut on her neck by one of her attackers. She received eight stitches as a result.

Her friends told this newspaper that she seemed to be progressing well in her recovery but they were unsure when she would be released from the hospital.

When this newspaper visited Lie’s business, the Shine-Bin Fashion and Clothing Store yesterday, it was closed.
