The Wakenaam Cricket Committee has once again been on the receiving end of corporate sponsorship with Mike’s Pharmacy donating a quantity of equipment yesterday.
At a simple presentation ceremony, representative of the Bel-Air-based pharmaceutical company, Wayne Jones, explained that the relationship between the business and cricket is one which goes back a lifetime.
Jones said that the management has always seen the need to assist in the development of the sport since it has been one of the pillars of national unity and aids in helping Guyanese remain fit.
