Savory, Lyght Jr., Khan, Adams strike first-round centuries

Centuries from Kemol Savory, Andrew Lyght Jr., Amir Khan and Dwayne Adams highlighted first-round proceedings in this year’s New Building Society (NBS), Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) second-division, forty-overs tournament yesterday. 

Adams (125) and Khan (116) spearheaded Everest’s 392-run win over Ace Warriors. Everest batted first and rocketed to 434 before being dismissed in the 39th over on the back of centuries from Adams and Khan while Richie Looknaught (88) supported. 

Rawle Enmore (5-71) spearheaded Ace Warrior’s effort with the ball. However, they were scuttled out for 42 with Saeed Mohammed (5-10), Raylex Payne (2-25) and Javed Rasheed (1-1) leading the rout.
