As the rainy season ends, the West Indian Sports Complex has continued its venture to provide nation-wide access to sport by young athletes, most recently donating a large quantity of gear to the Ministry of Social Cohesion and the Ogle Community Centre Cricket Club.

Javid Khan, the proprietor of the Lot 43 Robb Street, Lacytown-based sporting gear and accessories store, visited the East Coast club on Wednesday where he presented President of the Ogle Community Centre Ashmul Ali with uniforms as well as gloves and pads for the entire cricket team.

Ali said he was grateful for the gesture by Khan and his company, observing that it has come at an important time as the club looks to begin preparation for various competitions and seeks to identify talent at the youth levels.
