The Ministry of the Presidency is seeking nominations for national awards for 2020 in two categories.
An advertisement for such was placed in the September 29 edition of Kaieteur News and repeated yesterday. The invitation will raise a variety of questions as general elections are to be held on March 2nd 2020.
In 2018, national awards were announced on May 26 and conferred on October 6 that year. In the aftermath of the successful December 21, 2018 motion of no confidence against the government, the 2019 national awards were announced on February 23rd this year and conferred on May 24th this year.
