Cops seeking ‘person of interest’ in Festival City murder

Darrell Breedy

The police are on the hunt for a person of interest in the murder of Darrell Breedy, the Festival City man who was shot dead last Saturday after masked bandits invaded his home.

Crime Chief (ag) Michael Kingston yesterday told Stabroek News that while the police have not been able to make any arrests in relation to the matter as yet, they are currently pursuing a person of interest.

Fifty-three-year-old Breedy, who worked as a tout outside the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, was shot once in his abdomen when masked bandits invaded his Lot 2037 Hummingbird Street, Festival City home around 3.30 am on Saturday. He died on spot.
