Cop freed of causing death, drunk driving charges

Patrick Todd

Deputy Superintendent of Police Patrick Todd was yesterday freed of a charge of causing the death of 64-year-old cyclist Conrad Alleyne just over a year ago.

The charge against Todd stated that on September 12th, 2018, at Boerasirie Bridge, West Coast Demerara, he drove motor vehicle PTT 992 in a manner dangerous to the public and caused the death of Alleyne.

A second charge alleged that on the same date he drove the vehicle while under the influence.
