East Bank road fatality case sent for legal advice

The file on the investigation into the accident at Friendship, East Bank Demerara, which claimed the life of Bonita Sugrim, a mother of four, who was struck down by a drunken driver earlier this month, has been sent for legal advice.

Commander of Region Four (b) (Eccles-Moblissa), Senior Superintendent Kurleigh Simon, told  Stabroek News that they are awaiting advice before moving forward with the case.

He noted that the driver appeared before the court days after the accident for several traffic offences and was granted bail.
