Juma, Taylor, Alijohn lead St Stanislaus to chess title

Favourites St. Stanislaus College, boasting a number of junior national players, ran out winners of the team  category of the Marian Academy Inter- Schools Invitational chess tournament held at the school’s auditorium last weekend.

 Boasting a star-studded lineup of Jaden Taylor, Ghansham Alijohn, Chelsea Juma and Jorrey Troyer St Stanislaus won from Marian Acedemy and Queen’s College in that order.

The Marian Academy team boasted players of the calibre of Ethan and Ronan Lee, Sasha Shariff and Odit Rodrigues while Queen’s College team included the likes of Rajiv Lee, Ricardo Narine, Demetrius Drupe and Omesh Dyal.
